The game is good and very skill based. I have not seen any pay-to-win. I have a problem, however. Medals that you earn in battles (such as Ace and Dominator) do not seem to really provide a reward. There are rewards for winning and getting first place in battle but that's just about it. The progression feels too slow and having challenging medals reward the player could help a lot. It could also incentivize players to get better to progress faster and maybe spend some money on the game, I would.
I thoroughly enjoy the game. Even spent a few bucks. I don't mind if the game is actually good. No pay to win, so just save your money and enjoy the game. The aircrafts don't feel much different, and the top speeds on the high end planes is nothing great. Its interesting that the top speed and acceleration of the higher end aircrafts dosnt feel much diffrent than level 4 or 5 aircrafts or even the f5. Gameplay is 10/10 just don't get excited like I did and get the battlepass and coins.
This game has potential. But the HUD is so bad and frustrating. It is made for newbies at best. And there is no way to customize it. Like how do they expect a good experience by cramming the rudder, thrust/brakes, and weapons all in the same, lower right corner??? Like how r u supposed to do good maneuvers? This makes it significantly unplayable. Plus, no good altitude warnings and stuff. I am going to keep it for a while, and wait for an update but will uninstall if nothing improves/changes.
I love the game, great graphics, and awesome play. I am unimpressed with the bugs, I keep getting locked out due to upgrades, and then when I do the upgrade, it won't let me back in,even if I uninstalled the app. It would be noce to be able to sell our unused planes, and customizing them out. It takes long enough as is. We would like to be able to enjoy the game. It just takes too long. Maybe, possibly diffrent maps as well.
Constantly lags, times out, I don't like losing points for losing a match I had no control over timing out of, that's a bit unfair. There's no way to reset the game and move on to another match when that happens so even if you close the app and restart, you're stuck waiting 5 minutes for the match to end. When it DOES work, it's great. But that's rare.
They don't make you waste time watching adds to advance. It is a simple but fun game. The game play is fun, they have tons of jets, and there is a fair amount of strategy with using the different types of planes. It is honestly refreshing to play a free game with no adds. Take my money! I spent $10 on a pass just for sparing me the adds. Seriously, we need to support it when developers are more concerned with the gaming experience than making money selling adds!
This was a great game, until this last update. I don't know what they did, but, the game constantly freezes/glitches, or it will just close in the middle of a match. But, it won't actually remove you from the match. So, your plane is still in the match just getting shredded by the other side and destroying your kill/death stats. If this doesn't get fixed, I'll be uninstalling it. No point if the other side is just going to get handed wins at your expense.
Amazing game, but there's two things that could be better. 1. The squadron recommendations. I just started playing as of this review time, and have few trophies, yet all my recommended squadrons are top ones with very high trophy requirements, which makes it annoying to find an active yet easy to enter squadron. 2. The gamemodes. The different gamemodes are on timed cycles, and one of them I don't like very much. but i have to wait until it's over to play the one I enjoy online.
This is a fun game, but their is a learning curve to get good. To upgrade planes and earn tokens takes a while, unless you want to pay real money. Although any plane can shoot down any other plane, matches can become unfair when going against a team with higher end planes, especially if those planes have upgraded mods. Loosing points when you're the matches MVP is frustrating and a bit ridiculous. I also have some connectivity issues from time to time. 5 star game if not for the above issues.
Great game! Similar to Ace Combat but more realistic looking planes and scenery! It does take a long time to get enough credits to buy the next jet unless u spend real money! It also takes a long time to upgrade jets for better performance but I simply play games to kill time so this is not an issue for me! Overall, this is one of the better games on the playstore!
Excellent game! Graphics are awesome, mechanics are solid, and gameplay is easy to learn, but challenging at the same time. Of course, you can buy your way up, but it's not a necessity. Each plane offers a unique and distinct challenge, so there's plenty to get better at as you ascend in rank. Lots of chances for free stuff, also. I'm addition, I have a squadron of excellent people who enjoy the game, no drama, and I've become close with. Great group of people!
I have high standards when it comes to dogfight games like this. I really like Metalstorm. My mobile device can run this game on high settings with no problems. The online fights are fun and extremely challenging. I like the amount of fighters available to collect, all of my favorite jets are beautifully represented and upgradeable with detailed technical specs. I look forward to spending a lot of time on this game. We'll done devs!
I don't necessarily think that the grind aspect of this game is bad. However, matchmaking and balancing could see some work. Also, while I understand that the physics aren't meant to be super realistic, the aircraft should still be able to turn due to banking. This game lacks that, which undermines realism by a lot. Overall, it's a good game, but it could be better. I hope that my qualms are resolved later on in this game by the developers.
It is a fun game, but sometimes the plane glitches out so you can't control it and you almost always crash.it is a little hard to level up and get more planes if your not a pay to play person but you can still make it work. Even though there are glitches it is still a great game.
Needs better game balance. Play 1 match you can't hit the broadside of a barn. Play another and you hit with every missile fired. Randomly while playing controls stop responding or respond slowly. Example would be pulling hard left to avoid a wall, then ur plane levels out or veers off course and puts u in a wall. New mods are making it so whoever pays the most can evade any missile and win. Used to be a fair playing field now it's $$$.
Really fun gameplay, and it isnt too bad as far as pay to win, you can still progress without spending money. Servers and connection is what really hurts this game. Even on decent wifi you get matches with awful lag and rubber banding. They fix those issues, and its easily a 4 star for me. Does push spending money at times too, but thats expected from a free to play mobile game.
I've been playing Metal Storm, the best flight simulator dogfight game I've ever tried. The realistic controls are unparalleled, providing an immersive experience. Despite claims that you need to spend money to progress, I've been winning over 90% of my games as a new player without spending a dime. It doesn't matter if you have the latest plane; skill is key. Don't be misled by other reviews—this game is fair and incredibly fun. Highly recommend! 5 stars!
the graphics and gameplay mechanic are good and it runs really smooth, there's 3 maps and 2 game modes (capture the point and deathmatch), there's ranking system but it doesn't makes any sense because there's no ranked matchmaking, also the game force you to play one of the 2 gamemodes every 20 min, there's no balance if you're a newbie, you won't survive because the higher tier players will be matching with you and destroy your aircraft with rockets from a mile away and at every respawn.
The maps make it only advantageous to long range missiles. I get it. 5th gen will always beat older planes in real life. You just want people to pay to get newer planes. 4 straight games where I'm getting bombed to death from respawn because the aardvark 111 can camp from outerspace. Any long range missile wins. Very little dog fighting, just missile blasts from space. I get it. That's real life. That's why USA will always be #1! God bless America
I despise air superiority, most people I've played with treat it like team deatmatch, the respawn times are frustrating but tolerable. Overall I enjoy the game. Adding this in, there needs to be more daily missions, the missions you do get can be achieved pretty easily and quickly, I like having something to accomplish, with so few missions or things to do I find myself turning the game off until more missions come up
